Because honestly, Game of Thrones wouldn't be crowned the king of all TV, even if that were a distinction existing outside of our nerdbrains. It's a big stretch to rank it among shows like Sopranos, Breaking Bad or a hundred other greatest hits of this golden age of TV. It's less high art, and more tacky exploitation.

Of course it does. That's because the US has 350 million and Ireland for example has 4 million people. If half of Irelands population watched the show and a quarter of the US population watched the show (hypotheticaly), then it's obviously more popular in Ireland. Game of thrones is huge all over the world.
Yes, for sure. I am one who doesn’t think Season 8 is as terrible as everyone says. I watched 1-7 and was worried about season 8, like you. I was pleasantly surprised because it really wasn’t that bad imo.
There is an rpg GoT game by ATLUS Games released in 2012. The combat and mechanics are below average, but the story is really good and is written by Geroge Martin and he appears as a character in the game too. I don't recommend buying it, unless you're a die hard fan. You can watch the story on YouTube though. CaptainSlappyBear.
